A healthy approach to healthy
In the current diet culture of restriction and willpower, we wrongfully embrace a fight against our body that creates body image dissatisfaction and compromised health. We often do things to better our health and looks that don’t get to the true root cause of the issue, leading to compromised health outcomes and unsustainable results.
My calling is to help people discover the truth about eating, their body's unique physiology, and the power of nutrition. I want to set you free from obsessive weight management and today’s so-called “wellness approaches” so that you can learn appropriate ways to alleviate or reverse medical conditions, manage weight, embrace the science of change for lasting results, and ultimately appreciate the body you have today.
Weight
MANAGEMENT
Whether you are trying to lose or maintain your weight, it can be challenging without the right knowledge, proper planning, and professional support. In order to achieve your weight goals, lifestyle modifications are in order, along with permanent changes so that you can see permanent results. We will look into possible emotional triggers that prompt overeating, and give special attention to overcome the specific obstacles to your ideal weight. Practicing body positivity and acceptance of oneself in any shape is an important stepping stone to move forward with needed changes to achieve your goals. (weight challenges, disordered eating, obsessive eating behaviors)
Gut
HEALTH
We now know that our gut is the habitat to trillions of microbes, most of which are critical in supporting our health. Compromised gut health may lead to many ailments, including weak immunity, inflammation, weight gain, and digestive problems, among others. I can help you find your path to a healthy gut through a therapeutic low-FODMAP diet, if appropriate, identifying food intolerances and modifying your daily diet to support your microbiome. (low-FODMAP, Food sensitivities, micro nutrient imbalances, gut health)
Medical
CONDITIONS
Many medical conditions, like metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, type two diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions, autoimmune diseases, PCOS, depression, and anxiety often coincide with poor diet and can be either improved or, sometimes, reversed entirely with proper dietary interventions. By employing an individual approach, that takes into account clients’ lifestyle, personal preferences, and level of readiness, I can help find a way to improve various medical conditions through a personalized healthy diet. (metabolic syndrome, CVD, hypertension, diabetes, PCOS, autoimmune conditions, gastrointestinal problems, depression and anxiety, and other conditions)

What stops you from getting in your best shape?
- Do you spend hours searching for the latest, most effective diet?
- Are you exhausted from using up so much energy and mental space on dieting and weight solutions?
- Are you uneasy around food and can’t seem to trust yourself to eat just enough for your body?
- Do you deal with challenges getting in the way of your healthy eating goals?
I’ve compiled this free tool - a list of 10 Obstacles Sabotaging your Health and Weight Goals that will help you pinpoint challenges you are dealing with that stop you from moving forward.
Here are my four pillars
The foundation of the lifestyle-change plan
For any plan to generate results, structure must be in place. A roadmap to successful lifestyle changes is necessary to achieve and maintain results. The four pillars below serve as cornerstones of a lifestyle change plan.
OWN YOUR PATH
Take ownership of your body, health and lifestyle choices
REMOVE BARRIERS
Set boundaries and priorities based on your goals
LEVERAGE BODY SCIENCE
Work with your body, not against it
EMBRACE CHANGE
Consistency pays off; make it your routine
What we will look at:
The Factors
- What are your barriers to health? What events or behaviors tend to sabotage a client's efforts?
- What are client’s limiting beliefs stopping them from achieving their wellness goals (i.e. food “addictions”, “I need to run to lose weight, but I’m not a runner.”)
- What is the knowledge you need to be successful?
- What are the right perspectives that will set you up for success?
Outcomes of the steps
of the process
- Help you find TRUE motivations and how to support emotions and decision making.
- Demystified nutrition — clearing up confusions and helping you implement an eating plan for life.
- Stop working against your body, but work with it.
- Stop addressing symptoms and quick fixes and go to the root causes and barriers.
- Stop trying to use willpower for change — it will fail. Food intelligence, practicing new behaviors and body physiology work in tandem to help you get to your desired weight and maintain it for life.
- Look at long-term health, not short-term fixes.
The truth about weight loss
Forcing your body to lose weight will result in rebound weight gain. Supporting your body in reducing its size healthfully is the only way to stay slim for life and stop obsessing about weight and food.
